The USWCA official documents are listed below.  More information about the history behind the Constitution and Articles of Incorporation can be found on the History of the USWCA page.  The Mission Statement of the USWCA and our Vision, along with a portion of our Inclusion Position can be found on our About page.

Organization Chart

The Governance Committee is responsible for determining to whom the Committee Chairs and Officers report.  The Organization Chart 2024 is maintained and update by them.  This document was last updated in March 2024.

Bylaws, Standing Rules, and Policies

Here you can find the USWCA Bylaws, Standing Rules, and Policies document.  This document is typically updated after each Fall and Winter Meeting. It was last updated March 11, 2024.

USWCA and USCA Rules and Regulations

Here you can find the USWCA Rules and Regulations which govern all USWCA sanctioned events. All games are played under current USCA Rules of Play with some USWCA exceptions so noted in the USWCA Rules and Regulations. The USWCA Rules and Regulations were last updated on February 5, 2023. The USCA Rules of Curling were updated in July 2023.

Inclusion Position Statement

The USWCA Inclusion Position Statement was approved in February 2017.  It begins with the belief that in keeping with the USWCA mission, we seek to develop, nurture, and promote the sport of curling respecting the dignity of all individuals.

Code of Conduct Statement

The USWCA Code of Conduct Statement was approved in September 2022. It is grounded in the Spirit of Curling and its focus is on members treating each other with respect and courtesy. Also included in this document is a Problem Resolution Process and information on the USWCA Facilitator position. 

Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy

The USWCA Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPPS) and the SafeSport Certification Process was approved in September 2022 and revised in September 2023.  The USWCA requires all its elected Officers and all its Standing Committee Chairs to be and remain certified by the US Olympic Committee (USOC) SafeSport training process. 

Articles of Incorporation

The USWCA is the oldest national curling organization in the United States.  Here you will find our Articles of Incorporation which were filed December 26, 1985 in the state of Illinois.

Constitution

An appointed committee framed a constitution which was adopted in October 1947 and the USWCA was founded. This copy of the constitution is from 1952 and is preceded by a cover letter.
