Senior Women's Bonspiel 2021

The 39th Annual Senior Women's Bonspiel

Denver Curling Club, Golden, Colorado

December 1 - 5, 2021

The Denver Curling Club hosted "Curling with Altitude".  It was a 32 team, 8 end event, played on 4 sheets of ice.  The Kit Party and Skips' Meeting were held Wednesday, December 1 at the curling club.  The Residence Inn Denver Golden/Red Rock and the Courtyard Denver Golden/Red Rocks were the host hotels. These hotels are across the street from one another but neither hotel was hosting the Bonspiel Banquet.  See the Invitation in the right side bar for information.  Entry forms had to be received by August 27, 2021 to be considered.

Shortly before the bonspiel, the Denver Curling Club went back under a mask mandate in accordance with Jefferson County. Mask were to be warn at all times unless actively eating or drinking.  The locker rooms stayed open and broomstacking was still allowed.

The Denver CC requested participants sign a Participant Release (it is blurry) and a Release of Image waiver.  These were to be downloaded and brought to the bonspiel.

Application Information

For information about eligibility and applying for the Senior Women's Bonspiel, read the invitation dated June 2021.  To be considered to participate, a completed Intent Form along with the entry fee, was to be received by August 27, 2021. Participants were selected by lottery using an allocation formula.  The entry fee was refunded to teams not drawn.

Information on the cost of and how to reserve a hotel room at one of the host hotels was found in the Intent Form linked above.

The featured games were live streamed on the Denver Curling Club's YouTube channel and are available to replay for your viewing pleasure.
