The 2nd Annual Super Senior Women's Bonspiel

The 2nd Annual Super Senior Women's National Bonspiel was held January 17 - 19, 2023 in Paoli, Pennsylvania at the Philadelphia Curling Club. The theme of this year's bonspiel, held mid-week, was "Rockin' It-Philly Style". This event is for women who have reached the age of 65 by January 1, 2023 from all member clubs and Members-At-Large.  Curlers enter as individuals (not club teams) and are mixed with curlers from other regions.  You may enter a composite team but only 2 players from the same club are allowed on the team.  The other 2 players must be from different regions or clubs.  The purpose of this event is to mix players from different regions onto a team.  The teams play 6 end games on 2 sheets of ice with a 3 game guarantee. A completed entry form with check needed to be received by November 7, 2022.  Entry forms are available to download in the right sidebar.  The cost is $75 per individual.  

The host hotel was the Hampton Inn Philadelphia/Great Valley/Malvern, Frazer, PA and reservations had to be made by December 16, 2022 to receive the event room rate.

Sixty four curlers entered with players from Seattle, Arizona, Denver, Nebraska, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Hampshire, and Connecticut. The ladies were treated to good games, nice ice, great food, and hospitality by the Philadelphia Curling Club - hosted by the committee of Lisa McCain, Rosemary Morgan, Pam Stephani, and Nancy Kimmons. On Friday, they showed several curlers the sights of Philadelphia with tours to downtown and local areas. Thank you Philadelphia for a great spiel.
