The Circuit is designed to increase participation in women's bonspiels and increase the competitiveness of women curlers not currently participating in National Playdowns.

A note from 2023-2024 National USWCA Circuit Winners.

One of the first things we look forward to every curling season is USWCA Circuit Events. The USWCA has given curling so many curlers’ opportunities to participate in events that can take you all over the United States. It is always an honor to participate in a circuit event.

You will find that from the moment you walk into a circuit event Bonspiel, you are greeted by your fellow curlers that are ready for competition, curling, and camaraderie. Greetings are hello hollers and hugs that show love and respect for our fellow curling competitors.

This camaraderie extends out onto the ice and grows even deeper while broomstacking. Our favorite part of post-competition. Over the years we have met so many amazing women at USWCA Circuit events who we now call friends and curling comrades. Spending time with these USWCA ladies grows into friendships that can last a lifetime. Plus, there are always cocktails parties and banquets…having fun dancing, singing, parading around the room in costumes, oh yes, curling on Sunday.

Participating in USWCA Circuit events is a "win" on so many levels—curling with new and old teammates, new friendships made, memories created and remembered, cocktail parties and banquets, the laughter and CHEERS felt & heard. The competition at these events is tough, so getting to an Event Final is an accomplishment at each and every bonspiel.

Finishing atop the points back-to-back years is a privilege and honor for both of us. Plus, being teammates makes it even sweeter.

To all our fellow curlers, sign up to participate in a USWCA Circuit Event, you will not be disappointed!

A little about the Circuit

The Circuit will be held in each of the four Regions of the USWCA (East, Central, Wisconsin, and West). Each Region will have its own Circuit Competition and the Top Point Winner from across the country will win The Circuit National Award.

The Circuit Member Club must have their women's bonspiel registered as being part of The Circuit at least one-week prior to the event and be a USWCA member. But of course, the earlier a spiel is registered, the easier it will be for Circuit Curlers to learn about it and enter!

Individual curlers will register online through the USWCA website. The fee for a season is $30. Curlers must have at least two (2) members of The Circuit on their team to accumulate points. See Circuit Individual Application page for more information.

Why should our club's women's spiel be part of the Circuit?

  • Increased advertising for the bonspiel on the USWCA website and potentially, if joining early enough, in the Circuit's additional publicity.
  • Curlers can earn points in any participating bonspiel from across the USWCA. This should help get teams to travel outside of their local club area.
  • The cost to the club is $100 per bonspiel. (If a host club pays the registration fee between May 1 and September 30 the cost is $75.)
  • The fees will go to the prize pool. There will be a prize pool in each participating USWCA Area. If there are not enough participating bonspiels and or curlers in an area, areas will be combined.

How will participation in the Circuit change our spiel?

  • Except for having more teams and increasing the competition, The Circuit will not have any impact on how you run your event. (Rules, events, timing). We only require that teams from other clubs be allowed to participate in your spiel and that the results are sent into our Circuit Chair – Shannon Zwick – shannon@norfolkcurlingclub.org.
  • For additional information and to register your event please go to the Circuit Bonspiel Application.
