Senior Women's Bonspiel

The Senior Women's Bonspiel is an annual event attended by women 55 years of age and older from member clubs in each of the geographic regions of the nation.  The location of the event rotates among the four geographic areas: East, Central, Wisconsin, and West.  The number of teams participating will be 16*, 24, or 32 (32 teams were allowed in 2017 on a test basis) depending on the host club's ability.  For information on entering a team in the Senior Women's Bonspiel, contact your club's USWCA representative.  She will receive entry procedures and deadline information, as well as application forms in the summer.  

(*As of January 2023, the Senior Women's Bonspiel will only be hosted by clubs with three (24 teams) or four (32 teams) sheets.)  


42nd Annual USWCA Senior Women's Bonspiel

The 42nd Senior Women’s Bonspiel will be held at the Columbus Curling Club, Jan 15-19, 2025. This is a 24-team event on three sheets of ice. The Bonspiel theme will be “Gallery Hop.” Entry forms may be submitted (mailed) any time between now and the due date Sept 4, 2024. Multiple entry forms from the same club are allowed.

Rink fee checks are not required to be submitted with your Intent Form. Once the 24 teams are selected by random, these teams will have a 14-day time frame to submit their payment electronically.

The 41st Annual Senior Women's Bonspiel
Cape Cod Curling Club, Falmouth, Massachusetts

The 41st USWCA Senior Women's Bonspiel was held at and hosted by the Cape Cod Curling Club on November 29 - December 3, 2023. The theme was "Senior Safari". Twenty four (24) teams participated in this event.

The First Event winning team was from Racine CC (Barb Vanderleest, Gail Armstrong, Pam Wortley and Paula Kalke
Runner Up team was from Cleveland Skating Club (Katy Mercer, Carol Negus, Betsy Feighan, and Kim Barton)

The 2nd Event winners were from Detroit CC (Elizabeth Demers, Laura Call, Suzanne York, Shelly Bahr)
Runner Up team was from Belfast CC (Ann C Kirkpatrick, Cheryl Pieske, Serena Cole and Donna Fancy)

The 3rd Event winners were from Coyotes CC (Kelly Stephens/Marnie Devlin (injured in semi-final game), Deb Sawka (sub from Cape Cod CC), Denise Juillard and Jane Rockstad
Runner Up team was from Bucks County CC (Tracy Shickel, Nancy Gerrittson Vanderhoop, Jane Slayer and Pat O’Donnell)

The 4th Event winners were from Columbus CC (Jan Smith, Barbara Sheerin, Florence Jain, and Pamela Anderson)
Runner Up team was from Arden Hills CC (Sally Augustin, Linda Turner, Barb Klussendorf and Barb Chapman)

40th Annual USWCA Senior Women's Bonspiel

The 40th Annual USWCA Senior Women's Bonspiel, Diamonds and Denim, was held November 30 - December 4, 2022 at the Racine Curling Club in Racine, Wisconsin. This was the last time a Senior National Bonspiel would be held at a 2 sheet club where 16 teams were entered. Congratulations to the team from the Detroit Curling Club, Ferndale, MI, the first event winners. The team members pictured left to right were skip Laura Call, vice Ann Gabhart, second Suzanne York, and lead Shelly Bahr.
