USCA Hall of Fame

The USCA Hall of Fame was created by the USCA Board in 1984. Two of its purposes are (1) to recognize, honor and pay tribute to all individuals or teams on the basis of playing ability, sportsmanship and character and who have achieved extraordinary distinction in the sport of curling, whether that distinction be achieved as an amateur or professional and (2) to recognize, honor and pay tribute to those individuals who have given distinguished services and who have made a major contribution to the development and advancement of curling in the United States. Inductees from the USWCA are Mary Van Ess (deceased) as Builder in 1991, Ann Brown (deceased) as Builder in 1993 and Mrs. Bernie Roth (deceased) as Builder in 1996.

"Builder" is defined as any individual who has made a major contribution toward the promotion, development and advancement of curling in the United States, and without restricting the generality of the foregoing may include officials, managers, trainers, coaches, administrators and executives of clubs groups and associations.

The USCA Athlete/Curler Recognition Committee evaluates nominations made by member regions, the USCA Board, or the committee itself. The committee then selects names for presentation to the Board for induction (2/3 board vote required). Categories are Curler, Builder, and Curler/Builder.

A complete list of USCA Hall of Fame Inductees is available on the USCA web site.
